102. Women Rishis
Yatra narishu pujyate tatra ramyate devatah (Manusmriti)
Wherever women are respected and worshiped, there dwell the Devatas (the Godly brings who shower grace, prosperity and peace on us)
Women in India are Goddesses, great mothers, valorous queens and noble teachers (gurus); Women studied Vedas; Women Performed yagnas-vedic sacrifices; Women even visualized Vedic mantras.
This need not surprise us, for most of the hymns of the Rig Veda are the composition by twenty-one sage-poetesses. Women-sages were called Rishikas and Brahmavadinis.
